Ahoy Fleetmates,

Wow have our professional and personal lives changed in the past few weeks. What a difference a month makes. On behalf of your fleet leadership, I hope and pray that this newsletter finds you safe and healthy. While this isn't the most important information in many of our lives lately, it hopefully brings with it some sense of normalcy and we all hope to be returning to our regularly scheduled lives - including SAILING and RACING!! During this extended racing "off season" that includes social distancing we all have a bit of extra time to prepare our boats for the season ahead while working at a distance from others.

• Our handicapping boards held their annual Joint meeting in March. They were able to finalize a few rating appeals. They are working on a CR rating explanation that will be published on our website soon.

• Don't forget to review the Rating Appeals Status webpage http://www.phrfchesbay.org/page/ratings/AppealStatus to see which of your competitors is requesting a rating appeal and/or whether the status of your appeal has changed

• Reminder that in order to qualify for CBYRA High Point for our fleet you meet several qualifications as codified on our website http://www.phrfchesbay.org/page/results/Championship. These include being a member in good standing (dues paid) of CBYRA and of a CBYRA member-club in addition to meeting the minimums for races.

• RENEWALS-RENEWALS-RENEWALS. We have several hundred members whose certificates expire next month. Please submit your renewal online and contact us if you have any questions or need any assistance.
